Senior Pastor Search Process
Thank you, Denver Baptist Church family, for joining us in prayer as we seek to identify the man God has called to be the next Senior Pastor of Denver Baptist Church. Our Pastor Search Committee is meeting regularly and will update the church body on their progress during Sunday Morning announcements during the worship service and through website updates. These brothers and sisters in Christ have prayerfully agreed to serve on the Pastor Search Committee, and were affirmed by our church body as of October 30, 2022.

3/5/2023 Update:
The Pastor Search Committee has identified four key phases of work in our call to find a new lead pastor for Denver Baptist Church:
- Phase 1 - Pre-search: In this phase we have organized our work by gathering information about our community, our church, and what our church requires in a new lead pastor.
- Phase 2 - Search, screen and prioritize potential candidates: In this phase we will collect, screen, and consolidate our list of applicants into a short list of final candidates.
- Phase 3 - Interview final candidates: This will be a highly confidential phase as we begin to communicate with our next pastor.
- Phase 4 - Call our next lead pastor: This phase will consist of several meetings with Denver Baptist Church leadership and the congregation.
This a brief overview of the work the Pastor Search Committee is implementing.
As of March 5th, the Pastor Search Committee has completed all profiles needed to create a posting for DBC’s lead pastor. Since completed, the position is now available to mutual contacts within and connected to the church. The Pastor Search Committee will be reviewing each candidate’s resumé/CV, prior sermons, and references. We will continue to navigate through the candidates until we have the man God has chosen to be lead pastor of DBC or we open up the posting to wider ranges. The Pastor Search Committee asks for you to continually be in prayer during this process and to reference the Prayer Request tab for further details.
